Axe-Aholics Axe Throwing – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings and participation at Axe-Aholics Axe Throwing (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or taking part in a session, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings
1.1 All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by us.

1.2 You must provide accurate contact details when booking.

1.3 Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

1.4 We reserve the right to cancel a booking if the price was listed incorrectly due to an error. In this case, you will be offered a full refund or the chance to rebook at the correct price.

2. Age Requirements
2.1 Participants aged 8 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

2.2 We reserve the right to refuse participation if we reasonably believe a participant does not meet the age or supervision requirements.

3. Health & Fitness
3.1 By taking part, you confirm that you are in good physical health and know of no medical reason why you should not participate in axe throwing.

3.2 If you have any injury, medical condition, or concern that may affect your ability to take part safely, you must tell us before the session starts.

3.3 We reserve the right to refuse participation if we reasonably believe it would be unsafe for you to take part.

4. Safety Rules
4.1 All participants must attend and follow the safety briefing given at the start of the session.

4.2 Open-toed shoes (including sandals, flip-flops, sliders, or any footwear that does not fully enclose the foot) are not permitted. Closed-toe shoes must be worn by all throwers.

4.3 Any participant who breaks the safety rules explained in the initial safety briefing may be asked to leave the session immediately. In these circumstances, no refund will be given.

5. Conduct
5.1 Participants must behave in a safe and respectful manner at all times.

5.2 We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask any participant to leave if they are excessively under the influence of alcohol, if they are under the influence of drugs (zero tolerance), or if their behaviour is aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive. No refund will be given in these cases.

6. Spectators
6.1 Spectators are welcome but must remain in the designated viewing areas at all times.

6.2 Spectators must not enter the throwing lanes or interfere with the session.

6.3 We reserve the right to ask any spectator to leave if they behave in an unsafe or disruptive manner.

7. Group Bookings
7.1 The person who makes the booking (the “Lead Booker”) is responsible for ensuring that all members of the group are aware of, and agree to, these Terms and Conditions.

7.2 The Lead Booker is also responsible for ensuring that all group members meet the age, health, and footwear requirements.

8. Personal Belongings
8.1 You are responsible for your own personal belongings at all times.

8.2 We do not accept liability for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property, except where caused by our negligence.

9. Damage to Equipment
9.1 Participants must take reasonable care of all axes, targets, and other equipment.

9.2 You may be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement if equipment is damaged due to deliberate, reckless, or careless behaviour.

10. Photography & Filming
10.1 We may take photographs or video during sessions for promotional, social media, or marketing purposes.

10.2 By taking part, you consent to the use of your image for these purposes.

10.3 If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, you must tell a member of staff at the start of the session.

11. Cancellations, Refunds & Late Arrivals
11.1 Cancellation by Axe-Aholics If we cancel your booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date and time.

11.2 Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will receive a 90% refund. The remaining 10% is retained to cover transaction and administration fees.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will receive no refund.

11.3 No-Shows Failure to attend a booked session without cancelling in advance will be treated as a late cancellation and will receive no refund.

11.4 Late Arrivals Sessions start at the booked time. If you arrive late, the session will still finish at the original end time. We cannot guarantee that lost time will be made up, and no refund or partial refund will be given.

11.5 All cancellation requests must be made in writing (by email or Facebook message) and will be confirmed by us.

12. Assumption of Risk
12.1 Axe throwing involves inherent risks. By taking part, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you participate at your own risk.

12.2 We take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment, but we cannot accept liability for injuries or losses except where caused by our negligence.

13. Force Majeure
13.1 We are not liable for any failure or delay in providing our services caused by events outside our reasonable control. This includes (but is not limited to) power failure, fire, flood, extreme weather, extreme staff illness, government restrictions, or other emergencies.

13.2 In such cases, we will offer a full refund or an alternative date and time where possible.

14. Complaints
14.1 If you have a complaint, please raise it with a member of staff during or immediately after your session so we can try to resolve it on the spot.

14.2 If you remain dissatisfied, please put your complaint in writing (email or Facebook message) within 14 days of your visit. We will aim to respond within 14 days.

15. Data Protection
15.1 We collect and process personal data (such as your name, contact details, and booking information) in order to manage bookings and provide our services.

15.2 We handle personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

15.3 We will not share your personal data with third parties except where necessary to process payments or where required by law. 15.4 For more information about how we use your data, please contact us.

16. Severability
16.1 If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply in full.

17. Changes to These Terms
17.1 We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply.

18. Governing Law
18.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
